Reductil

Reductil (sibutramine) is efficient in decreasing food cravings in people diagnosed with obesity. This medicine is supposed to be used regularly with combination with a healthier diet and regular exercise to work for you. Reductil must never be combined with any MAO inhibitors as dangerous side effects can occur. The following MAO inhibitors may be prescribed for chest pain or heart problems: tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid, selegiline, and phenelzine. Also tell your health care provider if you are taking tryptophan, narcotic pain medications, antidepressants, ergot medicines, lithium, or migraine headache medicines, or intend to take them in the nearest future. Such mild side effects as back pain, heartburn, headache, change in appetite, weakness, insomnia, painful menstrual periods, flu-like symptoms, flushing, nervousness, runny nose, constipation, and dry mouth can be ignored as they are unlikely to last for too long. More serious side effects, however, will need to be reported to your health care provider as soon as possible and may include: muscle stiffness, nausea, unusual bleeding or bruising, stomach pain, sore throat, eye pain, anxiety, confusion, fainting, change in vision, lightheadedness, pounding heartbeat, vomiting, depression, seizures, itching, shortness of breath, restlessness, hoarseness, dizziness, or chest pain.
